Trailblazing Women: A Celebration of Innovation and Connection
The Women Entrepreneurs event, hosted by Neiva, was nothing short of inspiring. Held at her stunning pousada, the setting was as beautiful as the people it brought together. Nestled on a hill overlooking the turquoise ocean, the pousada offered breathtaking views that stretched out to meet the horizon. During the day, the light bathed the space in a soft glow, while the evening transitioned into a magical atmosphere with the golden hour illuminating the lush greenery and vibrant flowers. It was a place that felt alive with creativity, much like the women who gathered there.
Initially, the event was planned to be outside to take full advantage of the surroundings, but the rain forced us indoors. It didn’t matter—the energy of the women filled the room, and the cozy indoor setup turned out to be just as beautiful. We adjusted quickly, forming smaller groups to sit and chat, but the highlight of the evening was when each of us had the chance to introduce ourselves and speak about our work, visions, and goals.
Standing in front of this room full of accomplished women, I felt a mix of excitement and nerves. “My name is Sara,” I began, sharing my journey from working with companies like DreamWorks, Fox, Sony, and Disney, to building my own projects like the Bondi Bubble app. I spoke about my vision for the Búzios app, how it could connect locals and tourists alike to the best of this vibrant town—from hidden beaches to must-visit restaurants and events.
The response was overwhelming. Women came up to me afterward, impressed by my experience and excited about my app idea. Their enthusiasm only fueled my own inspiration. One of them said, “Wow, you’ve worked with all those companies? That’s incredible!” It reminded me of how much I’ve accomplished and gave me the motivation to update my social media and start creating content for the app right away. I knew that this event had the potential to plant seeds for future collaborations and partnerships.
Moments of Connection and Friendship
After the presentations, Neiva’s closest friends and I stayed for dinner, a chance to unwind and celebrate the evening’s success. The women were fabulous—each one with her own energy, style, and story. The laughter, the camaraderie, and the exchange of ideas reminded me of the importance of surrounding yourself with people who uplift and inspire you.
Neiva’s friends welcomed me like I was one of their own. Sitting at the table with them, I felt a sense of belonging. They said, “You attract who you are,” and I realized how far I’ve come—not just geographically, but in my own personal growth. The entire event reignited my excitement for the Búzios app. Búzios is so different from anywhere else I’ve been—Bondi, Hawaii, LA, or even London. It’s unique in its charm, its rocky streets, and its balance of sophistication and natural beauty. The Rua das Pedras, where cobblestones guide you through boutique shops and chic restaurants, felt like a world all its own.
Walking through those streets the night before the event, I was overwhelmed with inspiration. The energy here is alive, vibrant, and so full of potential. Búzios is a town with so much to offer, and the app feels like the perfect way to bring it all together. From exclusive itineraries for visitors to event connections for locals, the possibilities are endless.
